Al Jazeera America (AJAM), the far-left television network which bought out Al Gore’s Current TV for a cool $70 million, has been struggling to gain traction ever since their 2013 launch. After desperately trying to build a liberal audience by defending radical Islam and bashing Fox News, AJAM has been forced to make some devastating cutbacks.
AJAM will no longer be producing their own programming from their pricey studios on the first floor of the Manhattan Center in New York City. Instead, they will simply re-broadcast programming from the Al Jazeera parent studio in Qatar. The Qatar-based Al Jazeera is widely regarded as a “terror network” for their constant airing of propaganda and promotion of messages from Al Qaeda. If America couldn’t stand AJAM before, they certainly will not like it any better now.
On Monday, Al Jazeera accused Fox News of “bigoted ignorance” and “peddling ignorance.” Perhaps they were jealous that Fox leads the sector in ratings, while their own are hopelessly far behind. It won’t be long now until Al Jazeera packs up their bags and pulls out of American programming altogether. When they do, we’ll be the first to let you know.
