Islamberg is a 70 acre Islamic compound in upstate New York. Within this compound lies a Muslim only community. Most of the people living here are black Americans who became radical Islamists while serving time in US prisons. Islamberg is also the headquarters of Muslims of the Americas, the International Quranic Open University, and the United Muslim Christian Forum.

There are 35 Muslim compounds in America today, ranging in size from 25 to 300 acres.¬†Islamberg, however, is the most famous. The compounds are all part of a larger group called “Muslims of America” (MOA). MOA actively recruits at mosques and prisons, where African Americans are especially targeted.¬†Evidence suggests that the convicted criminals living in these compounds are taking part in jihad training and using crime to raise money.

Islamberg has a makeshift mosque named “International Quranic Open University,” where occasional public relations events are held to project a non-threatening Muslim image to the outside world.

But away from outsiders, it is reported that Islamberg recruits in firearm usage, bomb making, and guerilla warfare.

In 2009, a Muslims of America tape was obtained by Ryan Mauro, an analyst at Clarion Project National Security. The tape showed women at Islamberg being trained in guerilla warfare, dressed in military outfits. They were shown marching in formation, engaging in hand-to-hand practice combat, learning to use knives, and firing guns into a lake. Only the first two digits of the on-screen date were visible on the tape, indicating that it was made sometime after year 2000.

In 2012, a former high-level Muslim of America member who live in Islamberg described the community as ramped with abuse, forced marriages, and brainwashing. According to him, almost all of the children are illiterate. He also said he witnessed an old woman tied to a tree and beaten for violating the MOA moral code.
