In her new biography Stevie Nicks: Visions, Dreams, and Rumors, the Fleetwood Mac lead singer opens up about her history of cocaine addiction, and makes some shocking confessions.
According to Breitbart, Stevie Nicks told biographer Zoe Howe that she did so much cocaine that it burned a hole the size of a dime in her nose. Doctors said that one more snort of the drug could kill her, so she made a disturbing decision: she had her assistant administer the drug anally.
“There was no way to get off the white horse, and I didn’t want to,” Nicks said in the book.
Nicks eventually checked into the Betty Ford Clinic, where she finally kicked her addiction to cocaine. However, she then became addicted to the anxiety medication Klonopin, and battled that for nine years.
“I believe there have been angels with me constantly through these last twenty years, or I wouldn’t be alive,” Nicks says of her life.
