After over two decades of being an embarrassment to himself and his party, speaker of the House John Boehner is facing a serious primary challenger who may dethrone him before the next general election even begins.

J.D. Winteregg is a proud Republican who has announced he will be making a second run for Boehner’s seat in Ohio’s 8th District at the Republican primary in 2016. Winteregg previously ran in 2014 as the tea party’s candidate.

Though Boehner beat Winteregg by a 74-23% vote, the latter believes he can pull off an upset this time much like when House Majority Whip Eric Cantor lost during the last election cycle.

“After a lot of reflection on the first run, I questioned whether or not I should just focus on the local level of politics,” Winteregg said, according to Conservative Tribune.

“His reality no longer matches his rhetoric … and that’s very disappointing,” Winteregg added of Boehner, who recently caved to Obama’s executive amnesty plan. He also said that Boehner’s love of spending as much taxdollars as he can also incentivized him to run.

“As a part of the generation that will be paying that bill and dealing with the burdens imposed by an ever-expanding federal bureaucracy, I understand the importance of getting our country back on a more fiscally responsible track,” he said.

We like the looks of this guy. If Cantor can be overthrown so suddenly, Boehner surely can be too.
