We’re all counting down the days until Obama leaves office in 2016, but new reports suggest he may not be going anywhere after all.
Over the last few weeks, there has been talk that Obama will do something drastic to stay in office like declare martial law, postpone elections, or simply ignore the 23rd amendment which limits presidents to two terms. However, it has been revealed that there is a simpler, more realistic way that Obama may use to try to stay in power.
Reports say that Hillary is struggling to convert Obama-voters to her cause, so she is considering naming Obama as her running mate. Democrats have in fact suggested this to Hillary, telling her that Obama’s charisma will make up for her stern persona.
If Hillary were to name Obama as her running mate, he would be her Vice President if she were to win the election. This would make him a heartbeat away from the presidency, and considering Hillary’s age, he could very well end up in the White House again. Hillary will be 69 years old in 2016, meaning she would be 77 at the end of her second presidential term. This gives Obama some decent odds of getting his beloved power back.
