Popular restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has been getting flack for years now for angry liberals who don’t like the company’s strong conservative, Christian values.
The restaurant proved how “horrible” it is once again this week when it hosted a series of fundraisers for the family of a fallen police officer.
Utah County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Cory Write was shot dead during an ambush last year by a 17 year-old thug. According to Conservative Tribune, Wride had been with the police department for 20 years, and left behind his wife Nanette and their 12 year-old daughter Macklin.
Now, the Concerns of Police Survivors organization (COPS) is holding fundraisers so Nanette and Macklin can attend the National Police Week Memorial in Washington D.C. in May.
Chick-fil-A has generally announced that they will be fundraising for this COPS goal at most of their Utah locations.
“It’s going to be a huge Utah event. As far as I know, every Chick-fil-A has a police department,” said COPS chapter spokeswoman Andrea Davis.
“One thing that’s different about all of our organization is we deal with the entire family. Most organizations deal with the widow and the children, which is awesome. But we deal with the entire family.”
Liberals are of course outraged by this because they hate both the police and Chick-fil-A, but we think they’re absolutely wonderful.
