Last week, we reported on the sudden cancellation of Bristol Palin’s wedding to Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Dakota Meyer after it was revealed that he had a “secret wife” years ago. Their wedding was meant to take place last weekend, but the families instead held a reception celebration that Bristol did not attend.
Now, Bristol has broken her silence about the wedding in a Wednesday blog post.
“I guess you have seen by now that the wedding — that was supposed to happen last weekend — was called off,” the 24 year-old wrote, according to Mediaite. “I’m sure you’ve seen this has been all over the media, but this is a painful time for family and friends and I would just really appreciate your prayers.”
“I know God’s plan is greater than anything else, and Tripp and I are in Alaska beginning to rebuild our lives under much different circumstances than we anticipated,” Bristol added.
The wedding cancellation came just after a 2016 presidential campaign sign for Sarah Palin was spotted in Georgia, leading many to suspect that she’s running. Palin has yet to announce her candidacy.
The sudden wedding cancellation has yet to be completely explained, but it is clear that the Palins are going through a difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them!
