Two weeks ago, Carrie Underwood was noticeably missing from the American Country Music Awards. Fans everywhere were puzzled as to where she was, but when they found out the answer, they applauded her.
Since giving birth to her baby boy Isaiah two months ago, Underwood has immersed herself in her family in Nashville. Despite the fact that she was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Underwood couldn’t pull herself away from her husband and young child.
Underwood gave birth to her son, Isaiah Michael, on February 27. Since then, she has also been supporting the other man in her life, her husband Michael Fisher, who is currently leading the Nashville Predators in the NHL playoffs.
In recent interviews, Fisher has gushed about his “awesome family” and praised Underwood, saying she has “that instant instinct of being a mom.”
“You come back from eight days, and it’s like, holy cow, he changed so much,” Fisher told the Tennessean. “It’s crazy how fast it goes. You almost want to slow down time a little bit.”
