For weeks now, we have been reporting on Operation Jade Helm, a military training exercise that is set to take place in Texas this summer.

The training exercise will involve troops “wearing civilian clothes and driving civilian vehicles” to blend in with “civilian populations.” The operation lists Utah and Texas as “hostile territory,” likely because these are two of the most conservative states in the country.

Many have connected the operation to the mysterious Walmart closings, and have also said that it is a dry run for martial law.

Now, it has been revealed that the liberal mainstream media has been doing everything they can to downplay Jade Helm, and to portray those who are condemning it as “crazy.

When an ABC News affiliate contacted Infowars asking for information on Jade Helm, they responded in “extreme detail.” The station, however, ignored the facts and instead portrayed concerns over the drills as “paranoid.”

“When KVUE contacted me and we spoke verbally, they said they were looking to do a fear vs. fact piece,” said Infowars reporter David Knight, who spent 30 minutes on the phone with the Austin, Texas, station and e-mailed them extensive information about Jade Helm. “I tried to give them the facts, but ABC apparently wanted to emphasize the fear, label it ‘paranoia’ and ignore the facts.”

In his original email exchange with ABC, Knight described Operation Jade Helm in clear detail:

Jade Helm is a multi-state exercise, involving all branches of special forces and lasting for two months. [Training in] Texas, Utah and a small part of California and labeling these “red states” as “hostile” in the exercise looks like it carries on with the Southern Poverty Law Center’s narrative of fear that has been frequently embraced by Homeland Security and the military.

The military has many military bases. They have Asymmetric Warfare training centers within some military bases like the ones at A.P. Hill & Lejune. These training centers replicate key areas of American cities for urban warfare training down to the details of working traffic lights and street signs.  Taxpayers paid over $96 million for the A.P. Hill Asymmetric Training Center that opened last fall. Why, with all the military bases and asymmetric training centers and land under federal control, must they train in actual American cities for the training to be realistic?

Despite these clear facts, the mainstream media decided to ignore them and continue to narrate the liberal narrative that it is ridiculous to worry about this operation.

This narrative has been promoted by the Obama administration, who last week poked fun at those who are distrustful of the operation.
