Ever since President Obama publicly blamed American police officers for the violent race riots which are spreading across the country, there has been an alarming increase in cop killings all over the U.S.

Last weekend, yet another American police officer was shot dead by a thug while he was simply trying to do his job.

Officer Darye Holloway, a veteran police officer for the New Orleans Police Department, was shot by a handcuffed prisoner as he was trying to transport him to jail.

According to Conservative Tribune, Holloway had arrested 33 year-old Travis Boys for aggravated assault on Saturday, and he placed the handcuffed prisoner in the back of his cruiser. Boys managed to wriggle his hands out of the cuffs, grab a gun, and climb through an open cage into the front seat. The cruiser then crashed into a utility pole, and Boys fatally shot Holloway before making his escape.

The entire incident was captured on camera, and police say Holloway did everything he could to prevent Boys from escaping.

“While Officer Holloway struggled with Boys over control of the weapon, Boys yelled three times, ‘Let me go before you kill yourself!'” detective Sgt. Kevin Burns Jr. recounted.

Boys was captured on Sunday after a massive manhunt when he was spotted trying to board a bus with broken handcuffs still on his wrists. Holloway was rushed to the hospital, but he later died of his injuries.

“Officer Holloway put up a fight to try to get the subject to not exit the vehicle but succumbed to his injuries,” said Police Chief Michael Harrison.

Sadly, it was difficult for Holloway to adequately protect himself with everything that is happening in the U.S. right now. Imagine what would have happened if he fired back at Boys, fatally shooting him. Race baiters would have been all over him and made sure he went to jail for life, just for protecting himself from a violent thug.

How any more innocent cops need to die before something changes? Americans need to stop listening to the race baiters, and start focusing on the men and women in blue who risk their lives every day to protect us.
