On Tuesday afternoon, Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president in 2016.
“So, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again,” Trump announced. “Sadly the American dream is dead. But if I get elected president I will bring it back bigger and better and stronger than ever before.”
While many Republicans were initially pleased about Trump running, they were stopped dead in their tracks when the business icon revealed that his dream Vice President is Oprah Winfrey, aka queen of the race baiters.
“Back in 1999, when he were thinking of running as the Reform Party candidate, you told Larry King that you’d consider Oprah for vice president,” ABC News’ George Stephanopoulus reminded Trump.
“I like Oprah,” Trump said defensively. “What can I tell you?”
“Is she still on your shortlist?”
“Ah she’s great, she’s talented, she’s a friend of mine…” Trump replied. “I think Oprah would be great. I’d love to have Oprah. I think we’d win easily, actually.”
Oh Donald, you almost had us there! While the thought of you being in the White House is kind of awesome (if for no other reason than watching liberals heads spin for four years), the prospect of Oprah being a heartbeat away from the White House is the stuff my nightmares are made of…
