Last week, we reported that the Spanish-language television station Univision had decided not to broadcast the Miss Universe pageant after the partial-owner Donald Trump made controversial comments about Mexico.

Now, Trump has responded, and he’s not taking this lying down. He accused Univision of being pressured by the Mexican government to make this decision, and he went on to ban all their employees from his golf course in Miami.

“Please be advised that under no circumstances is any officer or representative of Univision allowed to use Trump National Doral, Miami — its golf courses or any of its facilities,” Trump wrote in a letter to Univision CEO Randy Falco. “Also, please immediately stop work and close the gate which is being constructed between our respective properties. If this is not done within one week, we will close it.”

“Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States,” Trump continued, according to Conservative Tribune. “However, inform them that should I become President, those days are over. We are bringing jobs back to the U.S. Also, a meaningful border will be immediately created, not the laughingstock that currently exists.”

Univision had an “ironclad” $13.5 million contract with Trump to show the Miss Universe contract on July 12, but they backed out after Trump made controversial comments about immigrants from Mexico in his campaign announcement.

Trump, however, believes there is much more to this story than meets the eye.

“The Mexican government is putting tremendous pressure on Univision and there are plenty of others — lobbyists and special interests– putting tremendous pressure on Univision to break their fully signed and fully effective contract with the Miss Universe Organization because I’ve exposed the tremendously bad trade deals that the United States is so incompetently making with Mexico and also because of the fact that I’ve exposed some of the terrible things that happen on the southern border,” Trump said of Univision’s decision.

It looks like this feud between Trump and Univision is far from over. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
