George Akary was reciting the Lord’s prayer St. Charbels Church in New South Wales, Australia when he saw something that took his breath away.
Akary is convinced that he saw a statue of the Virgin Mary moving her lips along with the prayer, and he quickly whipped out his camera to prove it.
“I saw this during mass and at the end of mass the rosary is prayed,” he wrote in the video description, according to The Blaze. “I went to the altar and wanted to confirm via recording it … lights are not relevant and there flickering etc as I have seen this occur under various lighting and have considered those possibilities. It is what it is.”
Apparently, Akary isn’t the only person who has witnessed this phenomenon at the church. Earlier this month, Kirsten Keirouz also saw Mary’s lips move, and she posted a video of it to her Facebook page.
“I believe it was a miracle, and not just lighting because we all saw it at the same time and because her lips would start moving and then stop and start again,” she told Daily Mail.
Skeptics say that the lips moving is an illusion from the camera angles and the lighting, but many Christians swear that the footage is a miracle.
