It’s summertime again, meaning that millions of Americans are spending as much time outdoors as they can.

While hiking in the woods is a great way to spend a day, it also means that you will likely be coming in contact with ticks. This type of insect is particularly dangerous because they carry a series of debilitating diseases like Lyme disease.

In this video, you’ll learn the proper technique for removing a tick from your body. All you have to do is take a wet cotton swab and push the tick around from behind. Keep pushing it around in circles until it dislodges from your skin, then quickly pick it up with a napkin before it can bite you.

Hopefully, none of us will have to put this to use this summer, but at least now you’ll know what to do if you find a tick on you!
