Yesterday, we reported on the devastating shooting at a Chattanooga military base, where a Muslim extremist killed for U.S. Marines before he was shot and killed himself.
We also reported that ISIS had claimed responsibility for the attack, but today it was revealed that they were tweeting about it before it even happened.
Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez began his attack at a military recruiting center before moving to the Navy Operational Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center Chattanooga seven miles away. It was at this second location where he killed his four victims, but judging from what ISIS tweeted before the attack, they were expecting many more to die.
“O Americans Dogs,” the tweet read, according to Conservative Tribune. “Soon YOU Will see wonders.”
U.S. Attorney Bill Killian described the shooting as an “act of domestic terrorism.” Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dodge, 36, recounted that the shooter fired upon the recruitment building from his mustang convertible parked outside. He also estimated that a total of 30-50 shots were fired during the attack.
Nearly 24 hours after the shooting, Obama still has yet to comment. This is likely because this story does not fit his agenda of victimizing Muslims and criticizing our military. Experts believe the president will try to portray Abdulazeez as a “lone wolf” shooter, or even try to make this look like an example of workplace violence.
Either way, the victims who gave their lives for this country aren’t likely to get the respect they deserve from President Obama.
