Lamarcus Williamson, 30, was appearing in court on robbery and assault charges when a judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison. Though he was a violent offender, nobody was expecting him to do this next…
Video shows a handcuffed Williamson get sentenced from a judge, and then immediately whirl around and throw a punch at his York County public defender Dan Hall. According to Daily Mail, he managed to punch the lawyer in the mouth so hard that he drew blood.
Williamson and Hall fell to the ground together before officers were able to take the thug away. Afterwards, the judge added 6 months to Williamsons’ sentence, which is the maximum for contempt of court. The judge added that Williamsons’ actions were not “governed by rational thought.”
Williamson, however, claimed he attacked Hall because prosecutors had said he committed multiple felonies which he had already plead guilty to months before.
“I was upset because the solicitor was trying to incriminate me like I’m some bad guy,” Williamson said. “The solicitor was trying to say I destroyed this woman.”
Hall said he was stunned by the attack, which coincidentally occurred on his 58th birthday. He said he had only met Williamson once before, since he was not his assigned attorney. Instead, he was helping out a friend with the case.
“An inch higher I would have had a broken nose,” Hall said. “An inch lower, my front teeth would have been knocked out.”
“A punch was not the best birthday present I have ever received,” he added.
