At the Republican debate last Thursday, Megyn Kelly tried to save her struggling television show by going after Donald Trump in front of millions of people.
Unfortunately for her, this turned out to be a huge mistake.
The backlash against Kelly for her inexcusable behavior during the debate was swift. Thousands signed a petition demanding she be banned from ever hosting a debate again, and even her co-anchors at Fox started to turn on her. Things got worse for her when Trump himself fired back at her, and now Fox is announcing major changes in the wake of the scandal.
According to The Gateway Pundit, the backlash against Megyn Kelly has caused Fox News to increase the security at their New York headquarters. CNN reported that the “viciousness” against Kelly has created a major security concern at the network.
Despite the security risks, Kelly is set to go on air on Monday night as scheduled.
This comes just hours after it was revealed that Trump’s poll numbers actually increased after the Megyn Kelly scandal. While he was at 25% in the polls last week, Trump is now at an all-time high of 32% after “bloodgate.”
