At the Republican debate last Thursday, Megyn Kelly tried to save her struggling television show by going after Donald Trump in front of millions of people.
Unfortunately for her, this turned out to be a huge mistake.
The backlash against Kelly for her inexcusable behavior during the debate was swift. Thousands signed a petition demanding she be banned from ever hosting a debate again, and even her co-anchors at Fox started to turn on her. Things got worse for her when Trump himself fired back at her, and yesterday it was revealed that Kelly is taking offers from other networks.
According to Daily Mail, Hillary Clinton is now defending Kelly after conservatives turned their backs on the anchorwoman. When asked about Trump’s comments that spurred “bloodgate,” Clinton replied, “I said it was outrageous, I stand by that. I think more people should say the same.”
Clinton then used Kelly to launch into a rant about conservatives disrespecting women.
“They brag about slashing women’s health care funding,” Clinton told reporters. “They say they would force women who have been raped to carry their rapist’s child, and we don’t hear any of them supporting raising the minimum wage, paid leave for new parents, access to quality child care, equal pay for women or anything else that will help to give women a chance to get ahead.”
Though Kelly has spoken out against Hillary Clinton in the past, she is staying quiet about the Democrat candidate now. Perhaps Kelly has realized that conservatives now want nothing to do with her, so she’s preparing to jump over to the Clinton side of the presidential race.
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t miss Kelly at all if she leaves us for the liberal side!
