On Monday, two gun-wielding thugs walked into Andrew Hepburn’s auto parts store in Oakland Park, Florida intending to rob the place.
They didn’t count on the older store owner fighting back.
According to Liveleak, surveillance video shows Hepburn wrestle the gun away from one of the thugs and shoot him multiple times as his accomplice runs away. Police have released the footage in the hopes of enlisting the public’s help in finding the assailant who escaped.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office announced that they are looking for a dark grey, late-model BMW, which the accomplice was seen driving away in after the shooting.
The footage shows two gunmen enter Hepburn’s office at around 1 pm. One suspect, who has since been identified as Conrad Bloomfield, ordered the store owner to lay on the ground face down. He then pistol-whipped Hepburn and tried to put his hands behind his back. However, when the gunmen became momentarily distracted, Hepburn grabbed Bloomfield’s legs and they began to fight. In the struggle, the store owner managed to grab the gun and shoot Bloomfield multiple times.
The second gunman then shot at Hepburn from outside the office, and one bullet hit him. Both Hepburn and Bloomfield were then rushed to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment.
