Obama got some VERY bad news this week when a federal judge ruled that the GOP-led House of Representatives can go forward with their lawsuit against the administration for overreaching their authority with their healthcare reform law.

This effectively means that the GOP can continue with their lawsuit in the hopes of ending Obamacare.

According to Conservative Tribune, U.S. District Judge Rosemary Collyer did rule against the GOP in regards to their claims that the Treasury Department amended the Obamacare law improperly. However, she also ruled that Republicans could pursue claims against the secretaries of the Treasury and Health and Human Services for spending funds that were not yet approved by congress.

Referring to her ruling, Collyer wrote, “the constitutional trespass alleged in this case would inflict a concrete, particular harm upon the House for which it has standing to seek redress in this court.”

Obama’s Department of Justice immediately slammed the ruling, promising that they would appeal it, and a White House spokesperson called the judge “wrong.”

“This case is just another partisan attack, this one, paid for by the taxpayers; and we believe the courts will ultimately dismiss it,” White House spokeswoman Jennifer Friedman commented.

Speaker of the House John Boehner, however, said that Collyer’s ruling proved the Obama administration’s, “historic overreach can be challenged by the coequal branch of government with the sole power to create or change the law.”

House Republicans first filed this lawsuit in November. At the time, Obama seemed confident that the suit wouldn’t go anywhere.

Who’s laughing now, Barry?
