Gabe Gould was driving to work this past Sunday when he saw a police officer struggling to arrest a large thug. Knowing that our police officers need all the help they can get these days, Gabe pulled over and asked if the cop needed assistance.
“Yes!” the officer yelled, according to Conservative Tribune.
Wasting no time, Gabe jumped out of his car and helped the officer restrain the thug. A third bystander also pulled over to help, and together they eventually placed the thug under arrest.
Gabe’s wife, Kaity, later shared the video of the incident on her Facebook page.
I have been debating wether or not to share this video because my husband is humble and does not like attention. However, our kids think he’s a hero and I’m a proud wife. I also believe there is a beautiful underlying story here. We were on our way to take Gabe to work and he saw a man clearly resisting arrest in a parking lot. He pulled up, rolled down the window and asked the police officer if he needed help, to which the officer replied, “yes.” This is important because Gabe wouldn’t have stepped in otherwise. It took both Gabe and the very capable police officer to restrain this man. Another citizen came to assist as well, and if you notice, at the end of the video the other citizen picks the police officer’s hat off the ground and hands it to him. Y’all, there is bad in this world, but there is also GOOD! All of these men worked as a team to get a necessary job accomplished. Videos like this serve as a huge comfort right now. It’s good to know there are still people out there willing to help the men and women in blue!
