The Miss America pageant was held last night, and one contestant sacrificed her chance for the crown by praising the Second Amendment.

When Miss South Carolina Daja Dial was asked if military style assault weapons should be banned, she gave a brutally honest answer.

“I don’t, but because I think we need to increase education,” she responded, according to Daily Caller. “We have to go back there. If we teach people the proper way to use guns, then we will reduce the risk on having gun related accidents. It starts with education.”

Of course, this was not the answer that the liberal judges were looking for, so Dial did not walk away with the crowd. However, patriots quickly took to twitter to praise her for what she said.
