Since he took office, Obama has been a strong supporter of Planned Parenthood. That’s why it came as very bad news a few weeks ago when congress voted to defund the liberal institution.

For the second time in just a matter of weeks, the House voted to defend Planned Parenthood once again this morning. According to Infowars, representatives made the decision in a 241-185 vote to defund the abortion Mecca while the investigation into the purported sale of aborted tissue and organs continues.

A total of 238 Republicans and three Democrats voted for the bill, which will not allow Planned Parenthood to receive funding again until they stop performing abortions. The bill states:

“For the one-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this division … no funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law may be made available for any purpose to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., or any affiliate or clinic of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., unless such entities certify that Planned Parenthood Federation of America affiliates and clinics will not perform, and will not provide any funds to any other entity that performs, an abortion during such period.”

The bill also states that the funding will instead go to other women’s health organizations that do not perform abortions:

“All funds that are no longer available to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., and its affiliates and clinics pursuant to this division will continue to be made available to other eligible entities to provide women’s health care services.”

Earlier in September, the House voted to pass a different defunding bill, but Senate Democrats went on to filibuster and block it. Experts say they will likely do the same thing with this bill.

Democrats can whine as much as they want, but it doesn’t look like this defunding bill is going anywhere anytime soon!
