Last week, we reported that rumors were swirling that country music singer Dolly Parton had been diagnosed with cancer after she was spotted going in and out of the hospital for weeks.
It turns out that Parton underwent surgery to remove kidney stones at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center on September 23, and she has been recovering ever since.
“Dolly had been having intense pains — she was running a fever and feeling very nauseous to the point of vomiting,” an insider said, according to Closer Weekly. “She went to the doctor and it didn’t take long for her to be diagnosed.”
Over the last few weeks, the 69 year-old singer has been spending most of her time at her Nashville home, where her husband of 49 years Carl is treating her like the queen she is.
“He’s been waiting on her hand and foot,” the insider continued. “Seeing Carl take care of her puts a smile on her face — she’s enjoying it!”
We wish Dolly the best of luck in her recovery! We’re praying for you, Ms. Parton!
