At 82 years of age, Willie Nelson is a country music legend who has fans all over the world. Unfortunately, the singer was just given some news from doctors that has caused him to make some major scheduling changes…
Nelson was set to start his Django and Jimmie Tour with Merle Hagerman on October 15. According to Q Political, however, Nelson was forced to cancel this concert at the last minute due to a health issue, and he also had to postpone the first half of his tour dates.
“We have just been informed that Willie Nelson has a medical issue and will be rescheduling the first half of his tour dates,” says Nick Hooker, Senior Marketing Manager for SMG Florence Civic Center, the venue Nelson was supposed to play tonight.
Hooker went on to say that Nelson’s shows have been pushed back to April of 2016.
“We know this is last-minute and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but our hearts and best wishes go to Willie Nelson and his family during this time of health concern,” Hooker continued. “Get well soon Willie, we can’t wait to see you in April alongside Merle Haggard.”
On a positive notes, doctors say the illness is not life threatening, but then again every illness becomes serious once someone is over 80…
