Earlier this week, ISIS released a graphic new execution video in which they killed a 19 year-old Syrian soldier by running him over with a tank. (WARNING: Do not watch the video, which can be found here, without being warned that it is extremely graphic.)
Now, new reports say that ISIS have discovered a sickening new way to execute their hostages. According to CNN, ISIS militants recently tied three hostages to ancient pillars in the city of Palmyra, and then killed them by detonating the pillars.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned of the executions from activists inside the city, which has been under ISIS control since May.
Very little is known about the executions at this time. The victims and what they were accused of are unknown, but we wouldn’t be surprised if a very graphic video of these killings surfaces in the next few days.
ISIS has been systematically destroying the ancient sites in Palmyra ever since they took over the city, and this brutal new executions shows they have no intention of slowing down.
