The latest GOP debate was broadcast last night on Fox Business Network, and one candidate made a mistake that has left him humiliated today.
In a moment that was reminiscent of former Texas Governor Rick Perry’s infamous debate gaffe, Ted Cruz messed up as he tried to list all the departments he would abolish as president. According to Daily Mail, the Texas senator mentioned the Department of Commerce twice.
While talking about his spending plan, Cruz said there were, “five major agencies that I would eliminate: the IRS, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Energy, the Department of Commerce and HUD.”
The department Cruz forgot was the Department of Education.
Today, Cruz’s team released his REAL plan that includes all five departments.
