While the average American boils their ears of corn in hot water, the best chefs do something very different. According to American Overlook, you should bring your pot to a boil and add in milk and butter while your corn cooks. This will give your corn cobs more succulent flavor.

When you eat the corn cob after bring it out of the pot, it will be full of flavor since it absorbed the butter and milk taste. You also will be able to avoid the messy process of slathering it with butter, since it will already have it on there!
