A small plane crashed into a building in downtown Anchorage, Alaska early Tuesday morning, and at least one person is dead.
Witness Kent Haina, a 747 captain for UPS, was taking out his trash when he heard the plane circling above him. According to The Blaze, he then saw it rapidly descend before disappearing behind a building. Moments later, he heard a loud bang and saw a cloud of smoke.
The plane reportedly crashed into the Brady building on 4th Avenue and L Street, and pieces of the wreckage hit an adjacent building. Don Tallman of the Anchorage Fire Department told reporters that the building appears to have been unoccupied at the time, but no other information has been released about possible other victims. The identity of the pilot of the plane has also not been revealed.
