Liberals are livid this week after Nevada Republican assemblywoman Michelle Fiore released her family’s annual Christmas card, but this one has a very unusual twist.
According to Daily Mail, Fiore showed off her family’s support of the Second Amendment by arming each of her nine family members with various types of guns. Photos show the proud family wearing matching jeans and red tops as they hold different types of weapons.
“It’s up to Americans to protect America. We’re just your ordinary American family,” Fiore captioned the photo. The top left corner of the image also includes a caption that describes each gun the family is holding. It reads: “From Left to Right, David: Beretta 92FS, Sheena: Glock 30 45 acp, Michele: Serbu Super Shorty 12ga, Lill: Extar EXP556, Savanah: Glock 19 9 mm, Kyle: Glock 30 45asp.”
The portrait was slammed by liberals a day after Fiore posted it, when two Muslim shooters killed 14 people at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California.
“What an ignorant person (and family) you are now the joke of Facebook and should be incarcerated for child abuse,” one person wrote on Facebook, according to the New York Daily News.
“I just cannot believe this. I wonder how they would feel if they lost one of their own to gun violence,” another wrote.
“Because nothing symbolizes the birth of the poor, non-violent incarnation of the ”God of Peace” better than a Glock in a 6-year-old’s hand,” one Facebook user commented.
Others, however, loved the photo and voiced their support for Fiore’s family.
“Girl, you are absolutely my hero! You are the epitome of what this nation is about. Thank you for what you do! Merry Christmas to you and yours!” one user wrote.
“I am proud of this family. They have taken personal responsibility for their families safety,” another commented. “As the government has admitted, in mass shooting events… everyone is dead in the first 10 minutes. Police can’t arrive on scene and do anything to save folks within those few minutes. People must protect themselves.”
