Despite the fact that the liberal world of Hollywood disrespects the U.S. military on a regular basis, director Clint Eastwood has never been one to ignore our troops. He proved this once again this week while filming his new biopic of the heroic pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger.

According to KRQE, Eastwood took the time to visit Holloman Air Force Base while filming his latest movie. Alamogordo Daily News reported that Eastwood was at the base on Wednesday with members of his film crew.

Holloman Director of Media Relations Arlan Ponder told reporters that Eastwood and his team filmed aerial shots at the base before participating in a training flight. Eastwood reportedly made a point of meeting as many troops on the base as he could.

We applaud Eastwood for continuing to make times to support our troops!
