The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have issued a warning about a bug. It’s referred to as “the kissing bug,” but it’s formal name is triatomine. It carries a parasite that is deadly to humans who are bitten by the bug.

The bug is in the United States, so the CDC is alerting the public about the bug. If you are bitten, try not to rub or scratch the site as that will help the bacteria spread.

The parasite produces Changas disease which has two stages. The first stage makes someone feel as though they have the flu. The second stage is much more serious with 10 percent suffering digestive problems, 30 percent experiencing cardiac issues.

If treated in time, patients have a 100% chance of recovery.

What sound do you think this little bugger makes when you squash it with your shoe?
