After Obama’s final State of the Union speech on Tuesday, Fox News contributor Mary Katherine Ham took to Twitter to give her single-sentence thought on what he had to say. The tweet has since gone viral, and when you read it, you’ll know why.
“The President is very disappointed in us for not fulfilling the promises of his ’08 speeches,” she tweeted, according to Western Journalism.
Ham’s tweet has already been retweeted over 1,000 times, and has generated tons of responses.
“I blame you. You’re the one who crushed Obama’s dreams,” Townhall senior editor Ed Morrissey wrote.
“Like the gas prices that he wanted to soar, but are low,” another commenter added.
During his speech, Obama said:
“But democracy does require basic bonds of trust between its citizens. It doesn’t work if we think the people who disagree with us are all motivated by malice. It doesn’t work if we think that our political opponents are unpatriotic or trying to weaken America.
Democracy grinds to a halt without a willingness to compromise, or when even basic facts are contested, or when we listen only to those who agree with us…
It’s one of the few regrets of my presidency — that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better.”
Clearly, Obama has no respect for our country. We’re glad Ham called him out on it!
