Stacey Dash has made some waves with her recent interview on Fox and Friends. The conservative actress who also is a Fox New commentator, waded into the Oscars controversy. Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith are calling for a boycott because no black actors were nominated. Dash said she was not siding with the boycott.
“I think it’s ludicrous. We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration,” Dash said.
Then the “Clueless” actor doubled down calling for an end to BET and the BET Awards as they discriminate against non-black entertainers.
“If we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NCAAP] Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we’d be up in arms.
“It’s a double standard,” Dash added. “Just like there shouldn’t be a black history month. We’re Americans, period.”
Dash received a lot of pushback about her comments. She pointed out that Morgan Freeman said in the past that there shouldn’t be a Black History Month, so she isn’t the first to mention this.
