The work of a Russian artist is going viral this week after he posted a video of how he creates his incredibly lifelike dolls.
According to Daily Mail, Michael Zajkov painstakingly hand sculpts his dolls using a special type of modeling clay, with glass eyes, French mohair wigs and 13 joints each. The Moscow-based artist studied sculpture at Kuban State University, and he learned to do this craft while working at a puppet theater.
Since making his first doll in 2010, Zajkov has earned himself 103,000 Instagram fans, and he constantly posts photos and videos of his creations.
“My dolls are made more realistic than is customary,” he said, adding that many see his dolls as “creepy.”
