We all know about Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, but she was caught up in yet another controversy this week that could put an end to her campaign forever.
According to Conservative Tribune, a Freedom of Information Act request by a major blog has revealed that one of Hillary’s top aides blackmailed reporters to print flattering things about Hillary in their coverage of the election. Gawker obtained an email exchange between Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines and The Atlantic writer Mark Ambinder in which the aide says he will only release advance text of a speech to Ambinder if he promises to write nice things about it before he even reads it.
The email was from July 15, 2009, and the aide claimed he would release the speech before the Council on Foreign Relations event where it was to be given on three conditions.
“1) You in your own voice describe them (Clinton’s remarks) as ‘muscular’” Reines wrote. “2) You note that a look at the CFR seating plan shows that all the envoys … will be arrayed in front of her, which in your own clever way you can say (is) certainly not a coincidence and meant to convey something 3) You don’t say you were blackmailed!”
Ambinder remembers that he was indeed given advance copy of the speech, but he felt dirty about the whole thing.
“It made me uncomfortable then, and it makes me uncomfortable today,” Ambinder emailed Gawker. “And when I look at that email record, it is a reminder to me of why I moved away from all that.”
This shows once again that Hillary Clinton has no integrity and that she should never get anywhere near the White House.
