Donald Trump has been relentless in his attacks on Jeb Bush. Jeb’s campaign is on life support and Trump is ready to pull the plug.
At Saturday night’s debate in South Carolina, Trump hit Bush hard. And Bush took critiques of his brother’s decisions as president as a personal attack on his family. Politics isn’t personal, but Jeb saw it as such.
The Trump campaign twisted the knife a little further by buying the domain name JebBush.com when it was available. Now, when people go to that website to get information on the former Florida Governor, they will be redirected to Trump’s website.
And Trump also did some domain trolling on Ted Cruz. His campaign purchased TedCruzForAmerica.com and had it redirected to the Canadian Immigration website.
Donald Trump has done a service to Republicans. His unorthodox way of campaigning has essentially destroyed Jeb Bush’s path to the White House. Many thought of Jeb as a shoe in as the next Republican nominee. Not only did he have the name ID, but he was also loaded with plenty of campaign cash. Donald Trump stopped that. Jeb’s Super PAC has spent tens of millions of dollars in attack ads but it has meant nothing.
Jeb’s is now stumbling to the finish line. Even having his brother campaign for him didn’t give him a boost. His performance on Saturday in South Carolina will be embarrassing. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
How would you describe Jeb Bush’s campaign?
