Reilly Flaherty lost his wallet at a concert earlier this month in Brooklyn. Obviously concerned, he cancelled his credit cards on the way home.
A week later, he got a letter in the mail from the person who had his wallet. In a semi-gesture of good will, the person who found the wallet returned Reilly’s driver’s license and cancelled credit cards. But, he says he kept the cash because he needed to buy weed and he kept the metro pass because the fare had increased. He even kept the wallet because “it’s kinda cool.”
Is this New York City’s version of a good samaritan?
Obviously, it was nice for Reilly to have his ID back, but this brought up a new concern. This pot smoking subway rider now has access to Reilly’s information and even knew where Reilly lived. Check out the video below to see Reilly’s reaction.
How would you react if this happened to you? Would you be concerned?
