At a campaign stop in Kentucky, Hillary Clinton hinted that her husband would have an active role in her administration.
The former First Lady said that she would like to lead a manufacturing renaissance and that Bill Clinton would be a great person for the job.
“I’ve told my husband he’s got to come out of retirement and be in charge of this, because you know, he’s got more ideas a minute than anybody I know,” Clinton said, as people smiled and laughed. “Gotta put people back to work and make it happen. So we’re going to give it all we’ve got, absolute full-in 100 percent effort, because I worry we won’t recognize our country if we don’t do this.”
But, Bill has seemed to have lost his sparkle. Over the weekend he was told he wasn’t welcome in one West Virginia town. When he showed up, he was booed because of his attack on coal. Not exactly a healthy perspective for a manufacturing renaissance.
Bill hasn’t stated whether he would accept a position in the West Wing. But, given that Hillary recently announced that she would like to appoint a cabinet full of women, perhaps Bill could be enticed to sign up.
