Illegal immigration has been ignored for far too long in Washington DC. Donald Trump’s candidacy has been fueled by the issue proposing a major solution, The Wall, to deal with the problem. That Wall looks to be a necessity given the most recent numbers on illegal immigration.
This is just stunning news:
Illegal immigration has exploded 57 percent in less than two years, with at least 550,000 new undocumented aliens pouring into America in a trend that is set to continue growing, according to new Census data.
In an analysis of the numbers, the Center for Immigration Studies found illegal and legal immigration have reached over 1.5 million a year, a new 15 year high, and a 39 percent increase over 2013.
Look at this graphic of how illegal immigration has been increasing:
Even without the census undercounts (many illegal immigrants obviously do not take part in census surveys), the numbers are still staggering.
Here is another graphic that is worth looking at:
Aside from some spikes, illegal immigration had been on a downward trend since 1998. Look when it started to surge. Right around the time Barack Obama became President.
Can you imagine what that line would look like if Hillary Clinton was elected President?
