Two police officers were shot at the 8700 block of Sterlingame in Houston, Texas.
Both officers were rushed to separate hospitals. There is no indication why the shooting occurred. The officers were investigating a burglary in the neighborhood when the fire fight occurred.
Police are reporting that one suspect has been killed, but two gunmen are still at large.
The 8700 block of Sterlingame is currently under lock-down and residents are encouraged to stay inside. Local police tweeted out this message to residents:
One suspect is outstanding please shelter in place if you're residing in the area & avoid the area if you don't.

One of the officers is being treated at Memorial Hermann Hospital and is in critical condition. The other is being treated at Ben Taub Hospital.
The officer that was transported to BenTaub is in stable condition…more information to follow.
