A car plowed into a Mardi Gras parade in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Twelve members of the Gulf Shores High School Marching Band ages 12 to 17 were rushed to the hospital. Four of those injured are in critical condition.
When the parade began, the car seemingly accelerated in order to hit the band members.

As of right now, it is still unclear if the accident was intentional or not.
The Gulf Shores police department posted this on Facebook: “Please be patient when leaving due to Emergency traffic needing access to the area.”
Police Officials gave a press conference just moments ago.
The police identified the suspect as a 73 year-old male who drove a late model SUV. They believe he was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
