Democrats have a tendency to get bitten in the rear with their own nonsense. And they never learn their lessons.
During Betsy DeVos’s confirmation hearing, the soon-to-be Education Secretary was mocked mercilessly for saying states, not the federal government, should handle gun issues. She even suggested that some remote schools might need guns to deal with grizzly bears.
Take a look at this:
Two schools in Southington, Conn., were placed in “Secure School Mode” when a black bear was spotted nearby Tuesday morning, according to WFSB.com.
Though the bear eventually moved away from the schools and the “Secure School Mode” was only brief, the report says emails were sent out to parents and the schools took precautions to keep schoolchildren safe.
Incidentally, the bears appeared in Connecticut – the state of Senator Chris Murphy, one of the liberal senators who grilled DeVos over her bear comment.
If you think Betsy DeVos was treated too harshly for her warning about bears and guns, share this with others!
