While MSNBC host Ronan Farrow was interviewing a former Charlie Hebdo writer, the network chose to hide the latest cover of the French magazine, which was the first release since the devastating massacre of 10 journalists and 2 cops at the hands of radical Islamists.

Though the majority of news outlets chose to stand in solidarity with Charlie Hebdo and show the defiant cover, MSNBC was not among them. Farrow’s mother took to Twitter to voice her disgust over “TV news stations in the US” who “are not showing the new #CharieHebdo cartoons.” She claimed, “When we back off, the terrorists win.”

Mia Farrow sent out the tweet long before her son’s interview, but apparently he does’t follow her on Twitter. As TPNN notes, social media users had a field day.

Well, that should make for some awkward dinner conversation the next time the family gets together!
