Governor Greg Abbott has just declared February 2 to officially be “Chris Kyle Day” in the great state of Texas.

According to The Blaze, Abbott tweeted the announcement on Friday, saying that Monday will be a day to honor all military heroes.

This news comes after the film about Kyle, American Sniper, topped the box office for two weekends in a row and raked in over $200 million in just two weeks.

While liberals slam Kyle for his service, it is nice to know that Texas will always have his back.
