A study conducted by a Pentagon think tank has found that Russian President Vlademir Putin is suffering from Asberger’s Syndrome, which is a form of autism.
According to Daily Mail, the think-tank cites the opinions of autism specialists as well as movement experts for helping them come to their decision.
Putin has “an autistic disorder which affects all of his decisions,” said Brenda Connors, an expert in movement-pattern analysis at the US Naval War College, in the report.
After studying his movements in public settings, Connors found that “the Russian President carries a neurological abnormality.”
The National Autistic Society has condemned this study, saying speculative studies like this are “fraught with risks and unhelpful.”
“Autism is a complex condition and a diagnosis should only ever be made following a thorough, holistic face-to-face process involving both the individual and the diagnostician,”Jane Harris, Director of External Affairs and Social Change at NAS said.
