After the death of American hero Chris Kyle, Jesse Ventura was awarded $1.8 million in a lawsuit against his estate over a passage in the book American Sniper in which Kyle described punching the former governor.

Since then, Ventura has repeatedly claimed that Kyle’s widow, Taya, will not need to pay him anything because her insurance will cover all of it. Unfortunately, new reports have revealed that this is a lie.

According to Buzzpo, Kyle family attorney Ed Huddleston told reporters, “…the insurance company’s position is that it would only cover $500,000 of the judgement if the judgement becomes final. That leaves the Estate at risk for the remaining $1.3 million if the judgement becomes final.”

Essentially, Taya Kyle has been forced to worry about how she will pay a leach like Ventura an incredible amount of money as she relives her husband’s death every day at the trial of his killer.

Needless to say, our thoughts and prayers are with Taya and the entire Kyle family.
