Last week, Clint Eastwood showed up to the Oscars with a much younger girlfriend that had everyone talking.

This week, it was revealed that Eastwood’s girlfriend Christina Sandera had a violent criminal record that could spell trouble for the elderly director.

Eastwood, 84, met Sandera when she recently began working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, California. However before that she was involved in a tumultuous 11-month marriage to a local bakery shop owner that resulted in a domestic battery charge for Sandera. Her ex-husband now describes her as a violent woman with a serious drinking problem.

“It was hell — I wish Clint all the luck in the world with that woman,” ex-husband Paul Wainscoat told Radar Online.”

The couple married on July 17, 2002, but eight months before that, an incident report was filed after cops responded to a violent scene at Sandera’s home. According to police reports, a fight had broken out because Sandera “was upset at [Wainscoat]…because he decided not to move in,” even though the couple had only been dating two months.

Wainscoat had tried to leave, but Sandera “grabbed onto his shirt and scratched his neck to prevent him.” He barely managed to call the police during the tussle.

When cops arrived, Sandera was still holding onto Wainscoat’s shirt and she was arrested for “domestic battery.” Police also noticed a “strong odor” of alcohol coming from Sandera.

Despite the incident, Wainscoat still married her, but he now admits that was a mistake. He says she demanded he treat her “like a queen” and that she financially drained him. He cites her desires for “largess and extravagance” as reasons their marriage ultimately failed.

Disturbingly, Wainscoat says Sandera regularly had violent episodes, saying that in one of them she threatened to “axe” all their furniture. Their marriage broke up in July of 2003, after police responded to a call at the couple’s home to find Wainscoat, “being battered by his wife.”

Wainscoat told police that his wife was “distraught due to the recent death of one of her cats,” and that she had been screaming, “where are my kittens?” He told them she “hit him with a closed fist in his face twice” and “then punched him in his left arm with a closed fist” before she “threw a full bottle of Gatorade, which hit him in the back of the head.”

He decided not to press charges and blamed her drinking for the incident. Wainscoat did, however, file for divorce. In court, Sandera denied being an alcoholic, but admitted she did attend AA meetings and had been to 15 anger management classes.

Though she denied the allegations made in the 2003 case, she plead no contest to the charges.

Before these allegations came out, Eastwood was planning to move Sandera into his $20 million ranch style “dream house.” It is unclear whether Sandera’s violent past will change the American Sniper director’s mind.

We pray that Sandera has grown in the 10 years since her arrests, because if she thinks she can get away with laying a finger on Clint Eastwood, she’s got another thing coming!
