A group of schoolgirls were touring a 500 year-old palace in London when they decided to snap a few photos. When they got home to develop them, they noticed something that had them “totally freaked out.”

The girls saw a haunting image of a ghost standing in the background of one of the photos.

“I didn’t see anything,” said Brook McGee, 12. “People say the room goes cold when ghosts appear, but we had no idea.”

This is just the latest ghost sighting in the 500 year-old Hampton Court Palace. The ghost of Dame Sybil Penn has been seen many times since her tomb was removed from the building for renovations.

Dame Sybil was a servant girl in the palace who was a nursemaid to Queen Elizabeth I when she was a child. She died in Hampton Court of small pox in 1562. Now known as the “grey lady,” workers heard strange noises when they first moved her tomb. They followed the noises to a secret room that just had a spinning wheel in it. If that’s not creepy, I don’t know what is!
