Carrie Underwood has already made it clear that she’s not afraid to defy Obama’s anti-Christian agenda by showing off her faith in God, and she did this once again this past Easter Sunday.
Underwood’s husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, posted a verse taken from John 11:25-26 on Twitter for him, his wife, and their new baby.
“Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life,” Fisher’s quote from the Bible read. “He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me… will never die.”
Underwood herself took the day off twitter for the most part, taking the time to be with her family on that holy day. Recently, she spoke out about the importance of celebrating religious holidays with family. Despite the hectic schedules of both her and her husband, Underwood has vowed to make celebrating holidays as a family her priority.
“I told [Fisher] recently, ‘You know, I’m really tired of skipping holidays. So from this moment on, I think it’s just so important, no matter where we are or what we’re doing, we have to make it special,” Underwood said. “And, I think that’s going to be our tradition. I hope that my kids, later in life, are going to be like, ‘Mom always tried to make that special even if we were someplace crazy or dad was off playing hockey or something like that. She made it special.'”
We love Carrie, and we wish her and her new family all the best!
